Tastefully restored in 2016, Casa Gloria is a 4-bed single-story farmhouse full of character and fitted with underfloor heating throughout making it ideal for both Winter and Summer.

The countryside farmhouse retains its traditional charm while updated for modern life with a large open-plan lounge/dining area with a wood burner and a fully fitted kitchen with modern appliances.
Spend afternoons on the higher-level terrace, the perfect spot to watch the kids playing in the pool or garden, or take a short walk to the village where you can enjoy a drink or two at a local bar. Alternatively, jump in the car and discover some of the best things the Algarve offers in less than a 10-minute drive away.

Outside:
The covered terrace with a large table and chairs and a built-in BBQ just off the lounge is the ideal spot for your al fresco dining all year round. Follow the steps down to find the open terrace with a pool and sun loungers surrounded by a well-maintained garden and lawn. The garden has a children’s play area with a swing and a hammock to relax on.
Surroundings:
Located in central Algarve, within walking distance to a little village called Fonte de Louseiros, the farmhouse is just a short drive North to the historic town of Silves for those seeking a castle and picturesque views. In contrast, you will find the town of Alcantarilha in the opposite direction with shops, bars and restaurants. For those wanting to head to the coast, carry on south to Armaçao de Pera, where you will find white-stretched sandy beaches, beach bars and restaurants.

The house was great, with lots of space, all very taken care of. It is a quiet place, perfect for resting. We really enjoyed it and plan to come back next year!
We had amazing week at Casa Gloria. It had everything we needed and was very spacious for the 7 of us. The garden is stunning with the palms and old olive trees, it’s better than the photos. I think we used the pool every single day. At night the villa is lit up beautifully, we ate out on the veranda every evening with the sound of cicadas in the background, it was very peaceful. The villa has left us with very happy holiday memories. There’s not a lot in the immediate area (but that suited us). Most supermarkets are 13/15 minutes away via car but Uber also works in the area so you don’t necessarily need one for a nice trip. Most beaches are between 20/30 minutes away and we highly recommend a private boat tour around the algarve coast. The only negative point we have (and it doesn’t outweigh the positive) was that there were only one set of keys, which made it very difficult when people wanted to split off sometimes. We were 8 people 4 adults and 4 children. The house was perfect for this group, we had a wonderful stay here. The kitchen is well equipped and there are wonderful places to discover nearby. The place is peaceful but a little remote everything requires at least 20 mins drive. I highly recommended buy make sure you rent a car as in more places in Portugal We will come back!
The villa is very clean and well maintained, both inside and outside. Everything is on the same floor and you could lock the very spacious terrace with a gate so the kids couldn’t get to the pool. The reception was very warm and we received a nice welcome package. The owner was very thoughtful and brought an extra playhouse for the kids halfway through when she saw them. They enjoyed it! The location is quiet, you have no view or nuisance from neighbors and you have a nice wide view. (You will hear some dogs barking in the evening and at night, but there is nothing you can do about that of course.) The beach is 20 minutes by car and it is a good base to do different excursions. The hosts respond very quickly and friendly, really beautiful. We greatly enjoyed our stay here with our children of 2.5 years and 4.5 years!

The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the house from arriving to a lovely surprise of food and fresh fruit to the happiness that the house wad exactly as shown in the pictures. No complaints, only praise. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to chill, or rent a car and explore the beaches and other parts of the Algarve.
This is a perfect villa for rest and recuperation. The house is fully equipped for all eventualities and the pool is lovely. Definitely need a car and a pool float! There was great communication throughout and the villa was spotless and welcoming. Can’t wait to return.
