About the Place

Casa Pica Pau (woodpecker in Portuguese) is located in a very quiet neighbourhood in the heart of lively Vilamoura, very close to several of the famous Algarvian Golf Courses and just a 10 minute walk from the Vilamoura Marina (harbour) where you’ll find an excellent selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The villa is also within walking distance of a supermarket, pharmacy, banks, cinema, gold sandy beaches and various other facilities you may need.

Accommodation

Pica Pau has 9 en-suite bedrooms with air-conditioning throughout the house, lounge with satellite TV, DVD and HI-FI, a dining room that can easily fit 18 people, a fully equipped kitchen with a large 4 ring gas hob, a dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, 2 large fridges, an ice machine and a juicer and a separate laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer and iron facilities. The furniture is modern, and tasteful, with some Moroccan elements, an ideal place for large families or for group golf holidays. There is also a games room in the basement equipped with table tennis, table football, darts, cards and board games.

Outside

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, the villa has a large covered terrace with built-in BBQ for outdoor wining and dining looking over the heated pool and children’s pool. The gardens are well established and walled with various terraces and lawns for sunbathing as well as nice shaded areas. Smoking and pets are allowed outside the villa.

Surroundings

Casa Pica Pau is located almost in the centre of Vilamoura,10-15 minute walk to the lively harbour, where you will find many bars, restaurants and shops. Vilamoura, being part of the famous Golden Triangle (known for its high standard of living and luxurious villas) is surrounded by white stretched sandy beaches with lively beach bars, renowned golf courses and luxury shops. Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago (also part of the Golden Triangle) are all within easy reach of Vilamoura.

Water sports such as sailing, diving, snorkeling and jet ski-ing are easy to organize, as well as other land activities like jeep safari, mountain biking or hiking. Needless to say, golfing is the number one sport and why many people go to the Golden Triangle, making Pica Pau, a very popular villa amongst golfers in the Algarve.
