Located in the heart of the Golden Triangle countryside near Faro, just 1 km outside the town of Almancil and only 5 minutes away from the prestigious beaches of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, this farmhouse is now a luxury boutique hideaway with distant sea views.
This authentic Algarvian farm dating back to 1811 offers top quality accommodation and free WIFI, keeping the traditional features while adding modern comfort making this a unique property with a truly relaxing homey atmosphere. All bedrooms can be made as twin or double beds. The top bedroom has a mezzanine which kids will love, appropriate for those happy to climb up some steep steps for their own space.
Quinta Almancil is extremely spacious and has an open living room and kitchen overlooking the pool. All rooms have Sheraton beds, air conditioning and a door opening onto the pool area with the most beautiful sunny terraces. All bathrooms are stylish with micro cement with Grohe showers, a Villeroy & Boch bathroom, terracotta floors and high ceilings… a truly ethnic Portuguese feel throughout the estate.

Outside
The pool area has several seating areas and one covered outdoor kitchen/BBQ area with beefeater BBQ, bar and comfortable seating to wine and dine or indulge in breakfast. There are several shady areas covered in bougainvillea, a well and gardens with 100-year-old trees and orchards, vegetable and herb gardens.
There is also a large sports field in front of the villa perfect for the family to play football, volleyball, table tennis or jump on the trampoline,
During the year the main house is a family home and animals are kept around the house in the nearby field.
Surroundings
Quinta Almancil is set in the heart of the Golden Triangle just fifteen minutes from the historic and beautiful town of Faro and ten minutes from the town of Loule with its historic market. It is twenty minutes from Vilamoura with many 5-star hotels, casino and thriving harbor. We encourage you to visit traditional markets to buy your fresh food, drinks or souvenirs.
The prestigious beaches of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago are 5 minutes away – the coastline falls within the Ria Formosa Natural Park, great for bird watchers and nature enthusiasts.
There is plenty to do around the area like shopping, hiking, cycling, karting, golfing and playing tennis. Various restaurants, Apolonia supermarket (known for International foods and drinks) and other lovely shops are all within walking distance.
All the towns and villages offer something different – the coastline is truly beautiful and worth exploring. The estuary of the Formosa forms a series of islands – Farol, Culatra, Armona,Tavira and Fuseta – fabulous places to take a boat trip and just wile away the hours with island life.
Loule, Quarteira, Olhao, Fuseta, Santa Luzia, Santa Catarina are all special places to visit whether you want to head to the markets, up into the hills, take a stroll by the waterfront, a water taxi to the Islands, or just sit with a beer or coffee and watch the world go by.
